Floral Stamping in Clay

Press real flowers and leaves into clay and walk away with a piece that looks like it belongs in a ceramics shop. This handbuilding workshop is all about surface decoration — no pottery wheel, no prior experience needed.

You'll start by shaping around 350 grams of clay into a simple functional form: a mug, bowl, or plate. Simple on purpose, because the real action is in the stamping. From there, you'll work through a selection of floral and botanical stamps, pressing patterns into the surface to build up texture and detail. Want to bring your own flower or leaf from the garden? Go for it. Once you're happy with the texture, you can add pigmented clay to pick out the details and give your piece a subtle hit of colour.

Your finished piece gets glazed with a transparent studio glaze and fired in the kiln, ready for pickup in about four weeks.
