Garden Atelier Painting
About this workshop
Escape the rush of everyday life and spend a relaxing morning or afternoon painting in my cosy garden studio in Amsterdam. During this 3-hour workshop, you'll create your own oil painting in a small group of up to 4 people. No experience is needed, because I'll guide you step by step while leaving plenty of room for your own creativity and personal style.
Together, the group paints the same subject, making it easy to learn the techniques while still creating a unique artwork that reflects your own brushstrokes and colour choices. To help you focus on painting rather than drawing, I've already prepared the canvas with a sketch of the subject. This is not a paint-by-numbers workshop, you'll learn real painting techniques and develop confidence with oil paint.

The relaxed atmosphere, personal attention and small group size make this workshop perfect whether you're completely new to painting or simply looking for a mindful and creative experience. Leave with not only a painting you're proud of, but also the feeling of having truly slowed down, a few hours where your phone stayed in your bag, your mind became quiet, and you could simply enjoy creating.

About the host
I grew up in a home where art was always present. My mother is an artist and paints in oil in her studio at home. As a child, I spent a lot of time there, surrounded by paint, canvases, and brushes. I learned how to paint from her, and I was always creating something.
Alongside painting, I have always had a passion for interior design and styling. Lampshades are often quite neutral, while they actually have the power to give a space much more character. That is why I started making unique, handmade lampshades in all kinds of shapes and styles.
I now live in Amsterdam, where I have my own garden studio. Here I create paintings, design lampshades, and host painting workshops. During these workshops, I invite you to step away from the business of everyday life and spend time being creative. My studio has space for four people, but I also offer workshops on location for larger groups
