Let's Flip is officially live â discover and book creative workshops in Amsterdam.

Hey everyone! đ¨
Get readyâthis is Amsterdamâs first-ever Decoden workshop!
So⌠whatâs Decoden?
Itâs a super cute Japanese art form where you decorate objects with fake whipped cream, sparkly gems, and adorable charms. The name comes from "Decorate DenWa" (old-school for decorating mobile phones). Think phone cases covered in fluffy, fake plastic cream that looks good enough to eatâthen topped with charms, jewels, sprinkles, and glitter. â¨
But donât worryâyouâre not stuck with just phone cases. Weâll have 4 different items you can decorate, so you can pick what you actually want to make.
đ
When?
Every second Sunday of the month at 1:30 PM.
â° How long?
About 2â3 hours, depending on what youâre decorating.
đ° Price: âŹ35
Includes all equipment, materials, and step-by-step guidance.
Youâll get to choose:
Pick one of these to decorate:
If you choose the phone case, youâll need to bring your own polycarbonate case. Silicone cases may not work as the cream wonât stick properly.
đď¸ Want extra charms or creams? You can buy them on the day (cash, Tikkie, or direct bank transfer).
Hereâs how the workshop goes down:
Weâll start with a quick intro, then youâll pick your charms and cream colors. Youâll sketch your design on paper first (trust us, it helps!), then bring it to life. Once youâre done decorating, weâll box up your masterpiece for you to take home and dry. Drying takes about 2â3 days.
đ§ Expect chill vibes, good music, laughter, and a fun afternoon of crafting with cool people.
What to bring:
A bag or box to carry your artwork home. Weâll provide aprons and gloves, but wear dark or old clothes just in caseâthe cream can stain.
đ Location:
Maakplaats Room,
1st Floor
OBA CC Amstel
Cullinanplein 1,
1074 JM
Amsterdam
A few honest notes (because we believe in being real):
This is a hands-on workshop. Weâll guide and help you every step of the way, but we wonât decorate it for you. Youâre paying for a creative experience with instructions, materials, and toolsâbut your final piece depends on your own skill and creativity. We canât take responsibility if youâre not happy with how it turns out. That said, complete beginners are totally welcome!
đ§ Kids & families:
Kids are welcome, but we recommend ages 10+ because the workshop takes concentration and fine motor skills. Anyone under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Just a heads-up: weâre not a childcare service and canât watch your kids for you.
â Quick FAQ

A: Itâs designed as a parent-child activity. Under 16 must be with an adult. Best for ages 10+âyounger kids usually struggle with the fine details and patience needed.
