Tufting workshop
About this workshop
During this hands-on session, you’ll learn the tufting process from start to finish and create your own 45 × 45 cm tufted artwork to take home. Each workshop has a maximum of 4 available spots, allowing for a relaxed pace and a more personal, one to one learning experience. You’ll get plenty of guidance, space to ask questions, and time to fully enjoy the process. Workshop can take between 3-5hrs depending on the design
During the workshop, you’ll learn:
- Everything you need to know about tufting
- How to use tufting gun
- Tips on choosing the best materials
- How to finish your rug: gluing, backing, and shaving Snacks will be provided to keep your creativity fueled throughout the day! All materials included
About the host
Monique is a woman-owned creative studio based in Amsterdam, rooted in a love for vintage design, natural textures, and handmade craft. Originally from Liverpool, where she studied fine art, she has spent years developing a visual language that draws from retro patterns, 70s colour palettes, antique textiles, and the quiet beauty of the natural world. Her hand-tufted rugs and illustrations celebrate imperfection. The kind of warmth you only find in things made by hand. Monique's tufting workshops are hosted at Het Salon in Amsterdam-West: a relaxed, beautifully styled space that reflects the unhurried, creative atmosphere she brings to every session. Each workshop is intentionally kept to just four participants, so you get real one-on-one support, personalised guidance, and the space to actually enjoy the process. Whether you're completely new to tufting or just looking for a meaningful creative experience in Amsterdam, this is a session that stays with you.
