Pottery Taster Class

The quickest way to get your hands dirty. Get a taste of working with clay by creating your own ceramics in this one-day taster class, whether that's just for a fun afternoon or to get a feel for a full course at Pansa.

The group is split into two, and you will learn two techniques, taught by two different teachers. Halfway through, you switch and try the other one.

In the handbuilding session you will make a mug (or whatever it becomes), which we glaze and fire for you. In the wheel throwing session you will learn how to centre and pull up your first shapes on the potter's wheel. You won't keep anything from these first attempts on the wheel, but you will get a great taste for a future course.

At the end of the workshop you choose your glaze for your handbuilt piece. It will be glazed and fired by us, ready for pickup after about 3 weeks.
