Slip Casting Workshop

In this 3-hour class we explore the basics of slip casting, a ceramic technique used to create forms using liquid clay and plaster molds.

You will learn the basic principles of slip casting: how the process works, how to cast an object using liquid clay, and how to properly clean and finish the piece once it has been removed from the mold. We work with both one-part and two-part plaster molds — you can bring your own molds if you have them, or use molds provided by the studio.
