Ceramic Glazing Workshop

Have you always wanted to create your own unique coffee or tea moment? During this 1.5-hour workshop, you’ll step away from the daily rush and fully focus on color and design. We swap screens for paintbrushes and transform a bisque-fired mug into a personal work of art.

This is the perfect workshop if you’d like to explore ceramics in an accessible and enjoyable way. We (or the clay gods) have already taken care of the shaping, you’ll add the finishing touch.

What Will We Do?

In a calm and cozy atmosphere, we’ll guide you through choosing and applying glazes (similar to painting). We’ll explain how the different colors work and how to achieve beautiful results.

Focus

A moment of peace and concentration. Glazing is almost meditative; you’ll be fully immersed in building up your design layer by layer.

Creativity

Choose from a wide selection of glazes, from earthy matte tones to cheerful speckles and vibrant colors.

Hospitality

As always, tea, coffee, and something sweet will be waiting for you.

How Does It Work?

You’ll receive a handmade, bisque-fired mug (already fired once). After glazing, the mug will stay at our studio. We will fire it a second time at a high temperature, making it fully functional and dishwasher safe afterward.

After approximately 2 weeks, you can pick up your unique mug from our studio.

Clothing

Although we work carefully, glaze can sometimes stain clothing. Please wear something you don’t mind getting dirty. It can also get a bit chilly in the studio, so bringing a warm sweater is recommended.

Facilities

Our studio does not have its own restroom. We use the restroom of our neighbors, which requires stepping outside briefly.

Location & Parking

We are located close to Wibautstraat metro station, and parking is available directly in front of the studio.
