Poisson Your Shoes
About this workshop
During this workshop, you can give your old shoes a new life. You can bring: ballerinas, pumps, flats, loafers or old sneakers, that you have laying around. We help you to make your own design and apply it to the shoes, finishing up with a protective layer of epoxy to make sure the design doesn't fade away.
Programme: 0-10 minutes: welcome, tea, cookies. 10-40 minutes: making your own design, doing little tests with different materials to get a feeling for how to apply them to your shoes.
10 minute break with tea and cookies
1,5 hours to pimp the shoes using professional shoe-paint. We guide you through the process of cleaning the surface and applying your design. You can turn your shoe into a fish or another animal, you can paint a pattern onto it or doe something completely different!
Last bit of the class: photoshoot! We take nice photos with your pimped shoes on, that will be sent to you afterwards as a nice memory.

About the host
Mette en Maria are two artists living in Amsterdam, and they invite you into their lives, providing a creative experience that has been thought out on every level.
They met each other at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie, Amsterdam's most famous Art School, where they both started studying in the same year. They bonded over their shared interest in human psychology and their humoristic approach to the day-to-day life in the microcosm of the institute they took part in.
Now working as a visual artist and writer, Marie and Mette still find each other in their light outlook on life.
